Kelo-cote Scar Gel (6g)
Self-drying topical silicone gel for the management and prevention of abnormal scars such as hypertrophic scars and keloids. The 6g tube will provide a full 90 course of therapy for scars of 2-3 inches in length.
Kelo-cote offers all the benefits of traditional silicone sheets in a user-friendly gel formulation that adheres to the contours
of the scar and forms a custom fitted silicone sheet. Once dry, it becomes a flexible, waterproof, gas-permeable membrane
that increases the hydration of the scar site, protects it from bacterial invasion, and works to normalize collagen synthesis,
reducing the amount of excess scar tissue.
Silicone is the clinical gold standard for scar treatment and scar prevention having demonstrated clinical efficacy over
all other forms of topical treatments and is recommended by the “International Advisory Panel on Scar Management” as the first
line therapy for these types of scars. Kelo-cote has been especially formulated to maximize the efficacy of silicone while
being the easiest to use, enhancing patient compliance. Of all silicones, Kelo-cote has established itself as the “Gold Standard”
having published studies demonstrating the clinical efficacy of the unique patented formula with over 1800 patients.
Kelo-cote has been successfully used to manage scars resulting from trauma, burns and surgery. It has been clinically proven
to flatten, soften, and reduce redness and discoloration of scars over the course of treatment. Kelo-cote has also been proven
to reduce associated itching and pain. Regardless of the origin of the scar, Kelo-cote consistently delivers exceptional
